Q: Jackie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
A:..."I’ve been privileged to grow my career from multiple angles. Although I mainly work as an actor, I’ve worn many hats including casting coordinator, producer, director, and writer. At the beginning of it all, I got my footing as a casting coordinator for a casting director in Philadelphia, which allowed me to feel and see the heartbeat of the industry professionally for the first time. My casting experience led me to make a lot of great industry connections and taught me a lot about the business from the inside out. Since then, I’ve been blessed to work and be represented in multiple major markets, and work on a large variety of film/tv and theater projects. I just wrapped on filming the movie “Manfreed,” which is set to release in 2024, where I play an otherworldly executor of justice in the 1800’s feature length adaption of the epic poem “Manfred” by Lord Byron. You can also catch me in a small but mighty supporting role on Netflix’s “Rustin” directed by George C Wolfe starring Chris Rock and Coleman Domingo!"
